This lovely large elderly chap is Kaii, a 9 yr old entire male. He is vaccinated and microchipped. Kaii is great with children, used to youngsters aged 2-3 yrs old. He is not great with other dogs that he meets when out and can be very vocal. He did used to live with a younger GSD bitch but she was rehomed last year. Kaii will chase cats given the chance. Kaii is a friendly lad, who rarely barks and loves a fuss.
This charming lad has occasionally been left for long periods of time without any accidents. He hasn't been off lead since he was a puppy. Kaii loves playing with toys and chasing his ball. He responds to many commands, sit, down, stay, heel, back up and go out. Our assessor found Kaii to be quite wobbly on his legs, we are unsure if this is due to lack of muscletone or something else. Kaii will be homeless by the end of this week. His owner has lost his job and has been given notice to leave his home. A genuinely sad situation forcing an elderly GSD to be looking for a new home.
Kai is now settling into foster care, he has been checked over by a vet and is starting a gradual exercise program. He is also going to be having some hydrotherapy sessions to help the muscles in his back legs.
