Jojo - Tyne & Wear

Jojo - Tyne & Wear
Sadly Jojo is looking for a new home as his owner bent down to take a toy from him under the table, of which she did corner him. They were having a bit of a squabble between each other, he was barking she got to close and she ended up with 2 puncture wounds in her face. She is absolutely heartbroken as she loves him dearly and said he has never shown any aggression and this was more of a game, which she came of worse. Although he has grown up with her young daughter, she said she would never forgive herself if this happened with her child.

Jojo was immediately moved to a friends who now has him in foster, although needs a home urgently as her female is due in season within the week, this is what she had to say about him:

Meet Jojo, a beautiful 2yr old GSD boy. Jojo has found himself in a situation where he was no longer able to stay with his family. He's a big boy that has a very big character, but since being in my home has proved himself to be calm and obedient and an absolute joy. Jojo didn't abide by any rules in his previous home but has responded fantastically well in the short time he has been with us. He is currently sharing our home with a 9yr old, calm, dog savvy child and 4 giant breed bitches. At first he was very nervous of our girls and it was a case of flight, not fight, but is now calm and relatively relaxed around them.

He is very strong on the lead and would probably benefit from a head collar/halti to help with this. He is entire and still has his dew claws on his rear paws. He loves to play with toys and a football, he hasn't shown any possessiveness to us but his previous owners were reluctant to take things from him.

He lived previously with children but his female owner was quite timid and Jojo thought he ruled the roost and would often steal food from the children, steal from the kitchen worktop and likes to eat shoes. We have found him to be very pleasant and good natured but i'm sure he has a cheeky side too.

Jojo is looking for an experienced home, someone who will continue his education – but some boundaries in place and I’m sure the benefits will be returned tenfold. Oh we also think a nice quiet female friend or two, would be an added bonus and certainly help Jojo understand the doggie etiquette.
