Here we have the lovely, if not lively, Jodie who is looking to be re homed due to time constraints and the other dog in the household not getting on together. Jodie was taken from a farm approx. 18 months ago and has rubbed along okay in this home environment but she has never really settled in terms of being set boundaries and understanding the basics, she is showered with love and affection and is a well care for girl but needs someone to take charge. Our assessor was greeted with a few loud barks, Jodie was kept restrained on a lead during interview as owner said not good around strangers. Once outside Jodie was joined for the walk by another placid GSD who she continually barked at but didn't try and lunge - again more socialisation required. On the lead Jodie is extremely strong but we're told better off lead and has decent recall. Our feeling about Jodie is she is bored, lacks a settled routine and desires long walks as she is exploding with excess energy - she acts more like an 18 months old dog - who definitely needs more discipline and an experienced adult home who can take her back to basics, due to her lively nature we would advise no to younger children and once introduced Jodie should settle okay with male companion.
