Jethro is a 1-year-old, entire, male German Shepherd looking for a new home as his current family cannot cope with him. He belonged to someone who has since moved out and he requires someone more experienced to take care of him.
On his assessment Jethro initially reacted negatively to our volunteer entering the house however after introductions he settled down and became quite affectionate. He must have a home with someone who has dealt with these guarding behaviours previously and who can help him learn he doesn’t need to take care of his family in that way.
He is currently under stimulated due to minimal walks and it is felt this may be exacerbating the situation. He is used to being muzzled for introductions to ensure everyone’s safety.
Jethro is looking for an adult only, pet free home, where he can be the focus of his families attention to help him with his training. He is still young and there is time to turn him around, he is intelligent and shows great potential. With our volunteer, he was cuddly and affectionate in a short space of time so he shows promise at being a being able to overcome his current problems.
If you feel you have the knowledge to help this lad please get in touch, he is looking for a foster or a forever home at this moment in time as he desperately needs out of his current situation.
Jethro is such a lovely boy
