*** Urgent foster/forever home ***
Jazz has had a very busy couple of months, she’s been moved from her home as her mum sadly was struggling financially. Went into a fab foster till her new adopter was in a position to take her. She’s only been with her new adopter for a couple of weeks and it’s clear to see that she’s just not coping with such a busy household.
Stunning Jazz is approximately 10 months old. Good to travel. Great with people . Good with residing elderly dog. Does not like dogs visiting in foster home hence needs an urgent new foster home as soon as possible as they have a boarding business with dogs coming and going. This is very unfair on Jazz as we had no idea their environment would be a problem to her. She is already slightly anxious, but has been through so much recently and we do not want this escalating. Slow intros needed to any dog she meets as she seems to have been lacking socialising skills in her puppy months.
Jazz is a very friendly ,busy, loveable girl who loves to play with toys. She loves to fetch toys and run around the garden using up her excess energy. She loves tuggy toys and will give you them using the command, leave. She can sit and give you her paw. She loves to be rewarded with treats too. She came with a tail chasing problem which is pretty full on and rather distressing to see and has to be immediately corrected or she doesn’t stop. This could be due to excitement. We put her back on lead to calm her down and bring her in. As soon as Jazz gets bored playing games, the spinning returns. She is not great to walk at the minute as she is erratic in her behaviour but this definitely could be worked on using the appropriate aids and time. Although she still likes to go for her walks and does tire eventually, walking calmer. Jazz enjoys her food but requires a slow feeder as she wolfs it down. She shows no signs of food aggression but is fed separately. She sleeps throughout the night in a crate.
An experienced home is needed. Someone who is around most of the time for her special needs. She does suffer with separation anxiety but will soon settle once left for short periods of time. She needs a home where they can spend lots of time with Jazz, building up her confidence for the big wide world. She’d be great learning agility or such. She needs to have quality human time and to help her relax. We find massaging her works well even if she needs to be kept on leader to do this. Giving her time out in her crate also helps. She is a very clever girl who loves to learn.
Jazz will make a wonderful family pet in the right, experienced home. Someone who has a residing dog. The main thing that Jazz needs is stability and a much more quieter home, to enable Jazz to chill.
