This beautiful young lad is Jasper who is just 16 months old yet has already had several homes through no fault of his own. He is still entire.
He greeted our volunteer with huge amounts of enthusiasm and energy so is a typical young shepherd but one who is not being looked after properly. He is not getting the mental stimulation or physical exercise that a young large dog needs. His coat is in need of a good grooming too.
Jasper knows his basic commands like sit stay and fetch but this poor lad has never been allowed off lead to burn off some of that energy pent up inside of him.
His current owner has only had him 6 weeks and cannot cope with his high energy and is not willing to give Jasper longer with a bit of training and taken out for proper walks where he can run and enjoy himself.
His previous owner kept him outside and even had his hair shaved off!!!
Jasper loves people and other dogs but just needs someone with a firm hand and someone willing to spend some time with him.
Our volunteer says he is a cracking dog and wanted to take him home there and then.
Jasper needs out asap for his own sake.
