JAX - ISLE OF WIGHT

This young man is sadly looking for a new home through no fault of his own. His families circumstances are due to change and they will be unable to give him what they feel he needs going forward.

Jax is castrated microchipped and vaccinated.

Jax is a happy family dog great with the kids but is an unknown around cats and dogs. He isn't bothered by livestock.

The volunteer found a very happy bouncy boy who was extremely excited to see a new person come into his home. He is a big lad who has been well loved and cared for.

His main issue is when he sees another dog out and about he lunges and barks with the owners, so they don't walk him during the day they take him out when its dark.  The volunteer took Jax for a walk along a busy road at 3pm in the afternoon, he says that yes Jax is strong but with proper correction he started to walk nicely to heel. He did react to another dog pulling towards it but the volunteer felt it was more out of frustration than aggression. Again with a strong correction and a sit command he stopped.

The volunteer feels that he is frustrated and that with careful training and socialisation he will learn to accept other dogs and even ignore.

Jax needs spomeone who is willing to pout the effort in to iron out his issues as once sorted he will be an all round wonderful companion. So if you are prepared to accept Jax into your family realising that he is not going to be  perfect on day one but with work you will have won the lottery
