Mab - Humberside

Mab is a spritely 10.5 years old, she is very friendly and loves a cuddle. She greeted me with a bark when I arrived at the house, came over for a fuss and then laid down at my feet. Up until recently she lived with a Jack Russell and a house cat; who she got on well with. Her current living conditions are inadequate, as she doesn’t go out and hasn’t been walked for approx. 2 years. Today she was taken for a walk by two familymembers with me present. Initially she was strong on the lead, but soon settled. During the walk we met a dog, where she barked and wanted to play, demonstrating a play bow. She has had some training and has very good recall. Currently she has no bed or toys to speak of, but she enjoys playing with sticks and apples when they fall from the tree in the garden. She is good with young children and likes to be groomed. Her owner’s health is deteriorating, so Mab is not being fed regularly and often goes without water. She is using the kitchen as a  toilet, as her owner forgets to let her out.Although another family member tries to go to the house every day, clearly, Mab’s needs are not being met.
