10 year old GSD x Collie. Howard's story: He came into rescue when he was 3 years old. A fun loving, cheeky chappie, he sat at the rescue with no interest as he was very high energy and just wanted to play all day. He would let all the dogs out if we let him and so we had to devise new ways to keep him in. We should have named him Houdini. Finally his forever home came along and he lived life to the full escaping when he could to play with the neighbourhood children. Sadly his forever home wasn't so forever as his owner became very ill and had to go into hospital.
So Howard needs a new home but don't be fooled, he is 10 years old and will sleep a little longer these days but when he is awake he wants to spend his time playing ball dropping it at your feet again and again. He is good with dogs and children but not cats.
Howard would be ideal for an older retired person who loves German Shepherds but wants something a little lighter on the lead.
