Harley - North Yorkshire
This stunning boy, 11-month-old Harley, is up for rehoming because his owners found it difficult to deal with his nervousness. He was afraid of strangers and barked/lunged if anyone got too close, whether at home or outside. He nipped a stranger whilst out walking.

Since coming into the care of GSDR, Harley's has calmed down and his confidence is improving day-by-day. He is a little underweight, but filling out. Vaccinated and microchipped, but not yet neutered

Currently in fostercare with 4 other GSDs, he gets on well with them and is learning to play. He is crate-trained, clean in the house and 'asks' when he needs to go out. Harley is learning some manners and his lead walking is improving, both have some way to go yet. Off-lead, he has a good recall - especially if he thinks there might be a treat! It will take some time to overcome his fear of strangers.

Given his background, we would not place him where there are young children, although we think he would be fine with sensible children. He will definitely become a brilliant dog, given the right owner.
