Sky is a stunning blue sable semi coated young spayed young lady who is now looking for her new forever home.
She currently lives with 5 other dogs and 2 cats. She is fine with the dogs but is very rough with the cats. and one of the dogs. She would be better suited to a home that she can call her own.
Sky is very territorial of her home. She barked incessantly at the volunteer on arrival. After a good sniff and being in her company for about 10 minutes she settled down. Where she lives the entry to the house is through the garden and she has been known to guard her territory and nip if people don't let the owner know that they are there. She will jump up when excited.
She will happily play ball all day and you can take the ball out of her mouth. She is very gentle. Sky is used to her daily walks out over the fields and through the woods. She has always been driven to her walks so hasn't often needed a lead, because of this she can be a little lead reactive and will pull.
Sky doesn't like to share her food with other dogs. Again she can get quite guardy. We think in a different environment potentially as an only dog a lot of her guarding behaviours cxan be worked with and she won't feel the need. With a little time and patience boundaries and routine we are sure she will become a loyal companion to anyne that wishes to give her a chance.
