Gunner - Cambs

Gunner the stunner!

What a drop-dead gorgeous boy Gunner is. And he is a good boy. Our assessor says that he would have taken him home with him that instant if only he were known to be good with cats!

So why is he being rehomed? Certainly it is through no fault of his own. He is just living in the wrong home: there are five children in the family, two of whom are autistic.

His owner has her hands full with her family demands and just cannot give Gunner the time and attention that any young GSD needs. And Gunner is approaching the 'terrible twos'.

Having said that, Gunner lives in his busy home happily and is tolerant of the toing and froing of young children and another dog. He knows basic commands and has a loving gentle nature. His only issue is that he has not been socialised with other dogs outside the home, as he should have been. He was walked, at least occasionally, by the young teenage daughter of the household. His walks were more one more chore to fit into a busy day, rather than the fun learning experience that a GSD of this age needs.

Are you an experienced owner who can take on this boy? He will not be a challenge, other than as regards socialising him with other dogs. He has had at least one bad experience and he will need a calm experienced owner, who understands the defensiveness of the breed, to address this issue.

Are you good enough for Gunner, the stunner?
