Max is 20 month neutered boy currently living with another male GSD. They get along very well together and play for hours. Poor old Max never really had a good start in life and was given into our care as a dog that couldnt be handled "he's too much for me" in that home he lived with children, another dog and a cat. In foster Max is learning to walk well on the lead, is good around other dogs out on walks, and is a quick learner of basic sit/stay commands. In the house he still has his protective tendencies and until he knows you Max can be very unpredictable and any sudden movements will alarm him and his initial reaction is to lunge at you. Within the home when visitors are around Max is either crated or muzzled just to be on the safe side. That said he is a very affectionate boy and loves his cuddles, being brushed and often smothers his foster parents with kisses. Max needs an experienced new forever home to continue his training and be aware of his protective issues in the home.
