Gorgeous George is just 9 months old (DOB 18th Ben 2019) and looking for a new home.
George is a friendly inquisitive boy who greeted our volunteer barking and sniffing but soon calmed down. The owner didn't know what to expect because she was the first stranger that had entered the home since they bought George and his brother as young puppies!
When his brother is around they are a bad influence on each other and George will ignore any commands so his new owner needs to work on engagement 1:1.
When our volunteer walked him on his own he was very responsive although he did try and lunge at other dogs but quickly recovered when distracted with treats.
A lovely young dog who has had little socialisation and little exercise outside the home. He will only go to the toilet in the garden.
He is being rehomed because the owner can't cope with him and his brother together. A classic case of sibling syndrome, proof that taking on two siblings is never a good idea unless you have thoroughly researched the subject.
George has had no contact with children, little contact with other dogs and we don't know about cats but expect he wouldn't like them.
His new owner will need to take him back to basics and work on his socialisation and commands. He is a young dog, willing to learn so anyone willing to put in the effort will not be disappointed.
Oh my, what big ears you have George!
