Meet our Gorgeous George

This sweet little chap is just 9 months old and has never known what it is like to have a home of his own or ever been shown kindness until he ended up in rescue.

Sweet George loves everyone, adults and children, he just wants cuddles and love.

George was rescued from Spain and has arrived in very poor condition. He is emaciated weighing only 20 Kg and his front legs have been affected by being kept in a crate that was too small. His right paw turns outward and he has flat feet plus he is severely cow hocked. He has severe muscle wastage all over through not being allowed out of the crate to be a normal puppy. He has a heart murmur which a vet says could be secondary to anaemia given his poor body condition.

A vet used to working with neglect cases, advised hindlimbs and possibly even forelimbs may straighten as his body condition improves and he regains some strength.

George has a really wonderful temperament, he is very affectionate and friendly. Great with people and dogs. He is learning how to play, he is intelligent, alert and responds very quickly to training. He will need a caring, patient home with people who will be prepared to build up his weight and stamina steadily and to commit to ongoing training and stimulation for him. He must also have a home where he isn't left for too long - he has spent most of his young life alone in a cage so it really wouldn't be fair for him not now to have the company he craves and deserves.

He really is wonderful. He doesn't jump up, doesn't chew, doesn't bark the house down. It's a real joy to see him playing with a ball or a tug toy, he even brings it back!

George is vaccinated, microchipped and passported. He hasn't been neutered yet as he is a little too young and needs to be about a year old and mature a bit before being done.

This young pup is a very lovely boy who needs a steady home where they will show him what it is like to be loved and cared for.
