Meet Freyja, a gorgeous 12 month old spayed GSD. She is looking for a new home as her owners circumstances have changed and she is now being left for long periods and her owners don’t feel as though it’s fair as she’s still very young.
Freyja is a typical puppy, she’s a very friendly and bouncy girl who likes to greet visitors by jumping up at them. She has never lived with other pets but seems to get on well with the male dogs she sees when offlead on her walk. She would probably like a nice older brother to show her the ropes. Her owner said she has a few male doggie friends and gets on great with them. Her recall is good although I was unable to witness this due to the weather.
I took Freyja for a walk this was in a built up very busy area and as soon as we stepped out of the front door a dog opposite started to bark at her, Freyja then responded and got over excited. She passed people with no reaction but she does get frustrated and reactive when passing dogs, this of course can be worked on and it didn’t help as she was very over stimulated as dogs were very close, she was much better when we created space and I didn’t allow her to get in front of me.
Freyja is such a lovely and playful girl who will make a cracking dog for someone who understands the breed and takes the time to further her training. I would suggest when she has a meet and if this is with another dog then this is done in a offlead so Freyja doesn’t feel so over stimulated with so much going on outside her front door.
