Freya is an URGENT rehome due to her owners moving to ASia.
Freya was originally adopted from us when she was 11 months old. Now 3 and through no fault of her own she is sadly looking for her final forever home.
Freya is wary of strangers entering the property so this is something that anyone interested in adopting must be aware of. The volunteer was advised to ignore her on entry which he did. Freya was in a kennel in the garden and didn't make a sound. Once in the home she settled quickyl but within the boundaries of a well trained wary dog. She sniffed for treats but didn't get too close. Freya will bark if someone knocks on the door but she is not let near the door.
Freya walks very will for the owner on the lead, she has excellent recall. She constantly checked in with her owner. She is generally kept away from other dogs so some intense work will need to be taken with her socialisation. Being a nervous dog she needs someone with confidence to show her the way and let her know all is ok.
She has been walked by a dog walker but it took a while for her to relax and enjoy the walks.
Freya is a well trained young lady who knows her boundaries and wants to please as much as she wants to play. Her owner is a strong leader and she has responded well to that. We feel Freya has limited experience of other dogs so this will need some attention. She would benefit from a good balance of stimulation and reassurancein her new home.
PLEASE DON'T OVERLOOK THIS YOUNG LADY. If you are an experienced owner she could well be the young lady for you
