Upon arrival at the farm, I was greeted by Figgy barking & running away. She was initially a little anxious & vocal but as soon as realised I wasn’t a threat, she became more inquisitive & friendly. She was then happy to come for strokes & full on face kisses! On her walk she was very good on the lead with no pulling or aggression to dogs we encountered. She met with birds, sheep & horses & although interested, showed no excitement or aggression to chase.
Figgy only knows basic commands & her responses are limited, although with training I am sure this young girl would respond well.
Her current owner reports some snapping, especially around food & toys & therefore would be more suitable to a child free home. Whilst Figgy lives with several other female dogs, all large breeds, she does not tolerate little dogs. She has been the instigator of an aggressive fight with another female dog so living with another dog would need to be carefully managed.
As Figgy currently lives on a farm, she is used to spending a carefree life outdoors and therefore she would probably not settle to spending long periods indoors. She is housetrained but has a history of chewing beds & shoes.
Figgy was a pleasure to meet & she would make a new owner very happy with her young, playful & energetic nature.
