Fido - South Yorks

Fido is a stunning young boy on the lookout for a new home as his previous owner cannot meet his needs anymore.
He's a super friendly and energetic dog who's been left to his own devices a lot so still behaves like a big puppy. Fido is 2 years old and is looking for an experienced owner who can commit to starting his training from scratch. 
Fido gets really excited when people visit the home, and sometimes jumps up and nips as he can't contain himself. He is used to being left for long periods of time and spends most of his time outside so he craves human companionship and doesn't know the boundaries.
He went for a walk with our volunteer and was strong on the lead. He has never really interacted with other dogs and was vocal when he saw some dogs on the walk, but he seemed to be more bothered about going up to greet them than anything.
Fido has never been let off lead so his new owner will have to work on his recall.
This beautiful boy has been around children before, but we would only rehome him with older children as even though he's very sweet, he can also get too excited and jump up. He has met cats and didn't show any signs of aggression.
Fido is albsolutely gorgeous and has so much potential. Getting more attention and training will no doubt help him be a happy and settled dog.
