Faith - Worcester

From Faiths' rescuer...........

30th November 2014........... "As I was driving home on Friday out the corner of my eye I spotted Faith poking her head out of the bushes, I pulled over thinking how she will just bolt as soon as I go back to try to catch her with doubt in my mind. Anyway as I always carry food with me for stray dogs I got out the car and took some food out with me and what I saw was totally heartbreaking

As I looked into the bushes I found Faith shivering from head to toe totally terrified trying to hide in the hole she had made for shelter, it was totally heartbreaking. Pitiful and clearly she had been left there to die with just the piece of string hanging around her neck. After a hour or so of trying to coax her there was no way she was going to come out so in the end I had to use a piece of rope, loop it round her neck and drag her :( It was awful and I felt awful, she didn't try to bite me once, her eyes glazed over as if to say 'just do what your going to do to me and get it over with' clearly she has been terribly abused, hit, starved, tied up and beat.

I carried her to the car and laid her in the back and was straight off to the vet thinking her state was so bad that if have to have her put to sleep. Once at the vets we decided to do blood tests to see if there was any hope for her.... I had her Kidneys and liver tested and she also has been tested for Leishmanaia and Ehrilicha. The snap test for Leishmainia came back negative to my surprise but to be 100% sure I've also had the government test sent off which we will know about hopefully by the end of next week. Faith tested positive for Ehrilicha so has now started treatment for that which she should recover from fine.

Sadly also the vet thinks she may have been in a car accident as she has many scars and damaged eye and a broken toe which has healed over time on its own. We will need to wait and see whether this will need removing.

I called her 'Faith' as I'm hoping she has some faith left in life to fight and get well and become the dog she should have been before some of the awful human race got their hands on her."

Well as you can all see Faith is a true survivor! She has done extremely well over the past few months and has gained nearly 7kgs!!!!!!!!!!! This is an amazing achievement! In this space of time she has learnt that not everyone wants to hurt her and that life can in fact be good! She has come along leaps and bounds! Faith has now been spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and her foot has been x-rayed which showed an old fracture of the wrist joint. This has healed over time and so does not need surgery.

All of this would not have been possible without your kind donations as Faith has needed a lot of help and still does. With what is left we will hopefully be able to fund most of her flight over to the UK also if that is where a home will be found? Of course we'd love to find one here in Cyprus as the less stress our girl encounters the better! but that's probably just a dream .

So I'm happy to announce that Faith is now looking for a FOREVER home where she can live out the rest of her life with a loving family who will take care of her and treat her like she deserves. As you can all imagine Faith really has been through so very much in her short little life and so the Angel who adopts her must still realize that she's a 'work in progress' and that she will still need a lot of time a patience with people as she's still very scared unless she knows you.

Do you think you could offer Faith the home she always dreamt of? She will reward you tenfold and the bond you will be able to form with our girl will be like no other.

Please help Faith, if you cant adopt then please share and lets turn her life around. Thank-you from Me and Faith xxxxx
