Zak is a 5 year old black and tan semi coated GSD looking for a new home through no fault of his own. This very handsome boy is currently in foster care.
Zak has improved greatly since being in foster, he is not a confident dog but is improving from where he started, his lead work has improved although he pulls a little when first out its because he's keen to get where we are going, the return trip is loose lead unless he's uncomfortable with something in his surroundings then he will pull to get away. He remains wary of strangers unless they approach with treats then he's happy to have them come towards him. He ignores other dogs when out walking but when in close proximity he is fine unless they get in his face he wil stop barking when told.
Zak is a dream in the house very easy going unless visitors come he's fine if the introduction is done properly, he's not allowed to go to the front door due to being a little teratorial he is put in the study where he knows he has to go whilst I deal with the person who knocked. Zak as we know adores his ball and recalls well when off lead. He is a submissive lad very affectionate, loves his belly rubs and bum scratches, he is fine when left for a few hours. Zak loves the beach and likes to retrieve from the water.
Zak would love to be adopted by a family that can carry on with the great work that our foster carer is giving him.
