Sam is a very handsome large boy who is looking for a very special home with an experienced adopter who understands the breed and is going to put 100% commitment to his training.
Sam can be dominant over people who show weakness and will try to assert himself if he thinks you are not worthy. He needs a home where he is set boundaries and have a strong leader. He would be ideal for a single person or a couple who will share the day to day care so he isn't attached to one person and respects both.
Sam is very strong on the lead so it would be a good idea for his new adopter to invest in a dog matic head collar for him. So lots of training and socialisation is needed for this boy. However this boy will do very well with a knowledgeable adopter and will be a very loving loyal boy if you put the work into him. If you have not got GSD experience and have not dealt with a dog with issues before he is not the dog for you. But if you know what your doing and have the time and commitment for him in a few month you will have a totally different dog, he needs leadership so he can relax and not guard or protect you.
Sam loves to play and is a very nice boy although big and strong. He really isn't keen on other dogs and will pull hard if he sees them.
