Elsa is a GSD x, her present owner got her from gum tree at approx. 1 year old and she is now 2. She’s a little shy with people at first and prefers to come to you to say hello. She is living with a few other dogs, but her owner thinks she may be best as only dog as she does crave attention.
She worries a little when left alone and does sometimes howl, so a home where her new mum or dad is with her majority of time, especially till she’s settled.
This is what our volunteer had to say: I met Elsa she gave an alarm bark but soon was quiet after a treat. I took her for a walk with the owner using the lead and collar. Although she reacted slightly towards a Labrador, the owner then reinforced the dog’s reaction. I put a slip lead on her, walked her back near the dog it triggered, but this time no reaction. We then came across a Beagle about 2m away. She was interested but no reaction. Walked her back to the house getting her listening to me and no problems.
Introduced her to my dog Tara (who was crated in the back of the van) no reaction at all.
I found her to be a lovely friendly dog just needing rules, boundaries and training/stimulation.
