Ellie is a 3 year spayed bitch. This young lady is going to be a challenge for an experienced and confident owner with no children and no other animals. Her master left the marital home and she has no respect for her female owner who because of her behaviour cannot even walk her now. Our volunteer was met outside the home with Ellie muzzled and he took her for a walk and she quickly settled down and walked very on the lead. Back in the house she allowed the muzzle to be removed and became very friendly. She is food orientated and took treats very gently from him. Our volunteer believes that not only does Ellie need a confident home to socialise her with the world, but actually suffers with fear aggression. One minute she is wanting a fuss and then the next she is nipping with uncertainty. Underneath he believes there is a loving dog but it will take time and patience to bring it out of her.
