This heavenly creature is 5-year old Ellie. Ellie is OK with cats and good with other dogs having lived with Benji, a rather handsome young Jack Russell for the last 3 years.
Although treated to the usual vocal Shepherd greeting our assessor found that Ellie quietened down very quickly and was more than happy to be made a fuss of, enjoying a full body rub.
On a walk both Ellie and Benji tended to pull a little on the lead but this was more about them both wanting to lead from the front. Off the lead Ellie demonstrated a 100% success rate on her recall although in fairness there were no dogs around to distract her. Her owners advise that Ellie will bark at other dogs.
Having spent her life with them Ellie is used to older children but has become possibly territorial following the recent arrival of a new-born member of the family although this coincidentally ties in with the loss of her regular exercise regime.
Ellie is looking for a new home as work commitments and health issues mean she is getting little or no exercise. Her owners have agonised over the decision but have decide to let us try and find new homes for Ellie so that she can enjoy a better quality of life. Could you offer a furever home for this charming young lady? Ellie is now in foster care with GSDR but still looking for her furever home.
