Ellie is 9 years young and sadly looking for a retirement home as her owners have split and she is currently being left for long periods of time. Before the split she was very rarely left and she is not coping well with no company.
She spends quite a bit of time in kennels when her owner is away working and does well there. She goes on the pack walks and gets on ok with the other dogs.
Ellie is said to be reactive when out of the home but the volunteer didn't see any aggression so thinks that maybe she just gets so excited to be out and see the world that she charges at everything. She is quite happy to walk nicely with no distractions . She is not keen on traffic but is very happy to walk over the fields and in th forest.
Ellie is fabulous with children of all ages which I am sure makes up for her lack of social skills with other dogs. She is definitely not keen on cats.
Ellie barked at the door when the volunteer arrived but once in was happy to greet her.
Ellie is a very clever young lady and has learnt to open doors all on her own . She knows all her basic commands sit, down, stay, come. She has a goos recall and loves to play ball.
Ellie with a little time to settle would make a fabulous addition to any home. She would like a home where people are at home and have time to shower her with attention and takes her to explore the world.
Please over look her age she certainly doesn't look or act like a 9 year old
