Ella - Wrexham

Ella - Wrexham
What a traumatised little girl she is, brought into kennels this weekend, burys her head in the wall and shakes when you approach THANKFULLY we have her in foster where an update will be given soon. All we know so far is I am about 4ish, small, stocky GSD who was found on the streets and taken by dog warden. I am extremely shy but I was very brave when I sat next to two horses, and I let loads of people stroke me and tickle my tummy. Hopefully when my foster parents have had me a few days I can relax and come out of my shell - keep you posted! Her foster mum says she is making steady progress but still wary of anything new, she loves her kong as you can see and is learning to play, she still needs further socialising but it is all going in the right direction!

Update from her foster mum - Candy is now called Ella

'Ella is becoming more confident in her surroundings and is better in social situations. Initially she would jump up over myself when we went somewhere new, but she no longer does this and will sit at my side.  She has been doing work on her lead and recall and she will walk well on the lead and is no longer circling as we walk. She will respond to her name both inside and outside the house and will sit on command.  We are now going to work on some more basic commands.  She likes her teddys and will enjoy a kong. She is still very timid and would need someone who will be patient with her to allow her to continue to develop. In the 2 months she seems to have come a long way, but still needs her confidence built up.  When she allows herself to relax and your see her personality, you can see that she has the potential for being a very loyal dog. '

Poor Ella really has been traumatised by what has happened to her.
