Effie is a very sad little girl currently left for extremely long hours alone due to a change in family circumstances. Effie has just finished a season and will be ready to be spayed around end of March. She has been used for breeding
Effie lives with her brother and gets on well with other dogs, though she did used to live with her Mum and they didn't get along too well, so if another dog is in the new home, a neutered male would be preferable.
Effie is very good on lead and has good recall. She is a bit of an escape artist: can open doors to let herself out, and can easily clear a 6 foot fence, so a long line would be needed when she first moves to her new home.
However, we do feel that once settled and integrated within a family, with regular walkies and the companionship she so needs, that she will soon forget about wanting to escape!
Effie used to have children visiting weekly so could be rehomed with older children, but she doesn't like cats!
Please consider taking this sweetheart into your home (and hearts) as she really does need to find her own family urgently.
Effie - a very sad girl who spends 12-14 hours shut in a garage alone
Effie looks very unhappy here too. Her ears do come up when she is happy
