Meet Edmund, a stunning 16 months old boy on the lookout for a new home.
When Edmund first met our volunteer, he barked at them but quickly settled and was happy to play and go for a walk with them. He walks OK on the lead but can sometimes react to traffic or other dogs. Once he's off lead, though, he's good with other dogs, especially bigger ones, and generally has good recall, unless there's sheep in sight !
However, Edmund is showing signs of dominance and defiance towards his owners although a good trainer would be able to give advice and work with a new owner to address this. This young boy needs an experienced home and a confident handler who can continue his training and teach him boundaries so that he doesn't try to be in charge.
