Dusty was surrendered to the vets after multiple times of escaping from her home. Once she was found on the side of the M25. The last time she escaped she was hit by a car and sadly lost her tail. The vet asked for the dog to be surrendered and this time the owner agreed.
She is currently in foster with one of the vet nurses. Dusty is a pretty girl who is on the small side for a GSD but is well put together. She was delighted to meet the volunteer and although she jumped up in excitement that is all that it was. She acts like a puppy because she has not been taught anything. Dusty is a very affectionate young lady who will roll on her back for her belly to be rubbed.
Whilst out walking Dusty met some medium sized dogs that she was very copmfortable with and wanted to play with. She was keen to meet a smaller dog who wasn't as pleased to meet her and backed away. Any new owner should be cautious on introductions with new dogs, taking things a little slower especially with smaller dogs.
Dusty was comfortable with the children that she met out walking, so although she hasn't lived with children she could potentially live with older children who have grown upo around large dogs.
Dusty needs some lead work as she dpoes pull. She is an active young lady so would suit an emergetic home. She is an intelligent young lady eager to learn. She has oodles of potential and still young enough to flourish in the roight hands. She at present goes to the vets everday and is a hit with everyone there.
Whilst not perfect she will make a fabulous companion with a little work and lots of time and attention.
