Duke - North East

Duke is a lovely 2 year old boy on the lookout for a new home after a change in his previous owner's circumstances.
He's a very friendly boy who happily met our volunteer at the gate. He was initially very vocal and excited but was happy to get strokes and share his toys. Our volunteer then took him for a walk and he was good on the lead. Duke tends to be very vocal and barked at some dogs when he was out on his walk, but not out of aggression. He's very much a big puppy still and needs further training and guidance. His recall also needs working on.
Duke cannot live with cats because of his prey drive, but he's good around children. He could potentially be rehomed with another dog after careful introductions.
This young boy has a lot of potential - he's fantastic around people and very well behaved in the home. He needs someone who can spend a lot of time with him and help him get out of his puppy-like behaviours like barking for attention. With the right amount of exercice, stimulation and training, he will be a perfect family dog.
