Duke - Lancashire

Duke - Lancashire
Duke has come into our care after a kind person rescued him from a home where nobody seemed to bother with him, she was easily given Duke to take home without even a backward glance! She was told he was two years old. As you can imagine Duke is a bit behind on the old discipline front, being left for many hours in a back yard. However he is now in foster care where they are walking him on a headcollar, where he shows good behaviour on the lead. He hasnt been let off lead yet (he has recently been castrated so still on short 15 min walks) but within the garden he seems to show good recall. Outside when other dogs have run over to him loose he has shown no aggression but if a dog shows aggression to him he will bark back! In the home he wants attention and is learning that jumping up and grabbing your arm is not the way to achieve this. Duke also shows signs of protective behaviour when visitors arrive so again this will need working on. All in all this is one stunning looking friendly (some may say giddy) boy who just needs to go back to basics, get some stability in his life and learn that humans are not all bad and life can be good!
