Duke
This beautiful dog has been badly treated – beaten with a baseball bat! He was kept in a greenhouse with a bitch, who had 10 pups by him. When rescued, 8 of the pups were dead.
Duke - what a gorgeous looking dog
The poor lad has had a bad time and then been shunted about; no wonder he is very stressed . He is not an aggressive dog. .
Duke - lovely boy in spite of what humans have done to him
Duke is 4, semi-long-coated back and tan, entire. He is very thin with poor muscle development, but a surprisingly glossy thick coat. He is initially nervous of strangers, but properly introduced he soon accepts them and even allows them to stroke him. We think he will be slow to trust new owners and needs to be given time and space. Nevertheless he likes human company, but on his own terms. We believe he lived with kids, but we wouldn’t want to risk him with young or over-enthusiastic children in his present state. He will pull on the lead, if you let him, but responds easily to being checked.
Duke will need an experienced, caring, patient owner. If you think you can offer a good home to this lovely boy, Please ring Jayne on 01568 797957 or email
