Dottie is approximately 7 or 8 years old and has been abandoned by her owner, so is looking for a very speacial someone to call her own.
At present Dottie lives outdoors on an equestrian property. She can wonder as she wishes. We feel that due to her age she would need a home with land as she wouold struggle in a normal home with a small garden.
Dottie idolised her owner and was extremely bonded so she struggled whern he left. She has become depressed and confused. Her present carer is a little wary of her as she has bitten another of the dogs a couple of times. She does get on with the other resident GSD but we feel that she would be better as an only dog. She is fine with the horses and the cat (but that is generally high up as it likes to keep away from the dmultiple dogs)
Dottie in reality a nervous dog and fearful dog. She worries when in new surroundings or with new people that she doesn't know.
Dottie needs a very special home that will give her the time to settle and trust. The volunteer felt that away from her present circumstances she could become a happy girl with her new owner.
We think that Dottie would be best suited to someone on their own with an understanding of her behaviours who will give her a lot of space and time to decompress and learn to trust. If you think that you can help this lovely lady please get in touch
