Dixon - Newport

This lovely boy is Dixon who is a 2-year-old entire male. The pictures do not do this lovely boy justice.

Dixon needs to be rehomed before December 14th as his owner is being made homeless and is having to go into a hostel where they won't accept dogs.

Dixon lives with 4 young children, 2 cats and a small dog who he gets on great with.

Although he lives with cats, he chases the next-door neighbours' cat so introducing him to a strange cat will have to be done carefully.

He loves other dogs when he gets the chance to meet them.

When our volunteer went to visit him, he barked at first but soon stopped and was glad of a fuss.

In the home, he is calm, relaxed and has a lovely temperament but he is not walked very often so outside he behaves a little differently.

He hasn't got much lead knowledge so pulls and goes in all directions eager to sniff and see everything.

It was dark when our volunteer walked him which was not the best for Dixon as he was quite fazed by car headlights and wasn't too happy about them. He also barked at people walking towards him which is not surprising given that he is really walked plus it was very dark.

He doesn't like the hoover!

Dixon is great at the vets, he just wants to meet the other dogs

He is a lovely boy with huge potential if he is given the exercise and direction that he needs.

Can you offer Dixon the home he deserves?
