Well just look at this beautiful big boy Diesel who is only 18mths old but found himself in a rescue centre where they had no experience of the breed so contacted GSDR for help.
Diesel ended up in rescue because his owner emigrated and left him with his mother who was ill and couldn't cope with such a big dog. So Diesel was a house pet and he is a very well behaved, friendly boy.
Volunteers who walked him at the rescue centre have told us that he is a lovely boy who just pulls on the lead a bit. He has never shown any aggression, but when he sees other dogs he pulls on the lead because he wants to go over and play with them.
Diesel knows how to sit, lie down, give a paw and he can also give hugs. If you pat your chest, he puts both of his paws on your shoulders.
He loves going for runs even on his lead. He also loves playing with water as it comes out of a hose pipe.
Diesels' previous owner has obviously socialised him well and taught him some manners so he should make a wonderful family pet, but he is a big boy. He has been castrated.
