DIESEL - KENT

This lovely young boy is sadly looking for his 23rd and final home. Diesel was taken on by his present owners privately from a friend of a friend about a month ago. Sadly due to  a change in circumstances he now needs to be rehomed.  At just 11 months this needs to be his final home.

In his firsat home he lived with children and other dogs. He was let out and had to learn from the other dogs so had no formal training.

Diesel is a typical GSD , barks at visitors to the home, backs away as nervous and then moves forward again. He tries to chase the neighbours cat.

He counter surfs, loves a ball and his favourite napping spot would be the sofa or the bed.

At 11 months Diesel still doesn’t have the grasp of basic commands. Neither has he had any boundaries set. He loves watching traffic and people passing his window - but once a new guest enters the house, Diesel’s instincts are to guard the home. While he has an impressive bark that would repel most intruders, this masks a dog that is very nervous of anything new. Once Diesel has learnt to trust the visitor he becomes a different dog - albeit he still has no boundaries. He loves to play and loves to steal treats and human food.

Outside the house Diesel is not phased by dogs or people he meets. He is very strong on the lead. He will react to dogs that bark at him first, but otherwise simply wants to sniff and play with them. He is not trained on the lead and has no reliable recall.

The owner is working on the basics where there is time, but the reality is this dog needs to be with people who can give this gorgeous boy time, consistency and boundaries. A new home where he can run about, learn appropriate boundaries, and show his full potential to be a stunning, loyal pet.
