Diego - Norfolk

Diego loves his walks and is very responsive to training, walking very well on the lead and great with basic commands such as sit, down and paw. Diego went to agility classes with his foster parents and was fine with the other dogs and people in his class and progressed from the Beginners to Intermediate class in very short order.

Diego is OK around other dogs when he is on the lead, although he will respond if they bark at him by barking back Diego will then go into an immediate sit when corrected. In the home Diego was a very well behaved around his foster parents cats.

Diego is very food oriented and he also just loves toys and will bring them over and drop them for you to throw or kick before repeating the process over and over and over

Diego likes to be groomed and is also happy to have his ears and teeth cleaned.

Although he is making great progress, Diego did not have the best of starts in life and so will need an owner with patience and experience to help continue the work under way to improve his social skills. Once bonded with you Diego can be particularly protective, so will need ground rules putting in place to enable him to relax, and understand he really doesn't need to protect you from the world! If you have the patience and the experience and are looking for a big playful dog who likes to be around his family or doing something exciting then Diego could be just the dog for you.
