This poor youngster was taken in by current owner about 6 weeks ago as she couldn't bear to see him outside with no shelter or stimulation and looking seriously mal nourished and unloved. In these few weeks Dexter has now put on weight, is learning to be toilet trained (very good on puppy pads). Happily living with a Staffy female and a cat. Our assessor was happily greeted by Dexter, if a little exuberantly, he just craves attention and love. Typical 9 month old pup in that he is bouncing around wanting to play with all his toys. Outside he is equally eager to get out on a walk so will require lead training, off lead he is very good unless distracted by other dogs. Dexter is learning to be on his own but he will howl if left and probably best placed in a home where they are around to work on his separation anxiety. He is only a baby and albeit a GSD cross does deserve to find a new adoptive home where they can continue to train this boy and put his old scrappy life well and truly behind him.
