Dexter is a short haired black and tan boy vaccinated and microchipped
He is a dearly loved boy but his owner is nervous and Dexter is feeding off this. When out he is reactive to most things but we do feel that he feels the need to protect his owner. The owner feels that he cannot give Dexter the exercise that he needs and this has led to the need to rehome.
Dexter is good with children, he lives with a cat but will chase when out of the home.
He is definitely reactive to other dogs. He is not let off lead and is quite strong to walk. The volunteer felt that a dogmatic or similar would help. At present he is walked with a muzzle but this is due to the owners nervousness.
He is fine with traffic and fireworks.
Dexter would benfir greatly from a healthy diet as he is a little underweight, and a proper exercise regime. He needs to learn to enjoy life and have an owner who can allow him to be a dog.
