Dexter is sadly looking for a new home as he struggles with the lady in the home. He has been a loved member of a family sincec he was a puppy and they are devastated that it has come to this but want only the best for their boy.
Dexter had 2 major operations when he was a pup and wasn't that well socialised in his early months. Having said that he is walked weekly by a dog walker and gets on well with the pack that accompanies him. With proper introduction we are sure he will have some 4 legged friends.
Dexter lives with 2 very young children and is amazing with them.
The volunteer found Dexter to be a sweet enthusiatic boy He was behind a baby gate on entry doing a typical GSD bark. Once he was let out he was extremely enthusiastic about meeting her and rammed into her legs. She said at NO time did she feel threatened. He was very affectionate towards the volunteer and thoroughly enjoyed her homemade liver cake.
In all, in the right home Dexter will make an excellent companion. he is very strong on the lead as is not normally walked on one. His owners tend to pop him in the car and head off to the woods, so work on his lead will be needed.
