Derek was picked up as a badly neglected stray. He has a chronic eye condition called pannus and it looks like he hasn't received treatment for a while as his eyes were inflamed and sore when he arrived with us. He has visited the vet and they have given him some Maxitrol eye drops which he will have to have long term (this is not expensive). His eyes are now looking a lot better. He is an absolutely lovely dog he doesn't have 100% vision so can be clumsy.
He is quite well trained and knows his basic commands and he doesn't pull too much on a lead. Derek hasn't been fully assessed with other dogs yet, but he doesn't seem to mind the ones he has met so far.
