Leo is a much loved family pet but one who has now decided to protect the family too much and they don't know how to get top dog status so feel Leo would be best with a more experienced home and somewhere they can give him more structure and socialisation. Our assessor arrived to Leo being in the kitchen, barking, once seated Leo was released and immediately came over to say hello and try and get on her knee. He currently lives with a Yorkie who he gets on very well with unless mum picks her up then Leo gets jealous and tries to nip the Yorkie's feet. Inside Leo is a pussycat with the family and he adores the children but outside he can be protective and try and nip anyone getting too close. He has excellent recall and is good on the lead, not really socialised with other dogs externally though he is walked by a dog walker who he tries to dominate when she wants to put him back on the lead after a run. Basically Leo is a gorgeous boy who needs a more experienced home and although he loves his mum he definitely responds better to a male presence and voice. Leo is a full shepherd, bought as a pup, but his ears never went up!
