Denzel was signed over to GSDR on 1stNovember 2024 from a dog pound, where he was placed into kennels in Lincolnshire, so we do not have much historical information on him.
Denzel is microchipped and is nearly 16 months old so just a baby.
The pound informed that Denzel is dog reactive up close to other dogs and may deflect if reacting. He loves people.
Denzel has been walked by two volunteers since he came into kennels on the 1st November 2024 from the dog pound.
He is strong on a lead and will require a GSD experienced owner who will be able to continue with his training, daily exercise, give stimulation and give him the opportunity to develop, must be a child and cat free home due to not having any historic information.
Denzel is reactive to traffic, mainly vans, but cars if they are going too fast. By the end of the walk, he was ignoring most vehicles and just sat and watched them go by, he was fine with bicycles. Denzel was not reactive to a barking dog and ignored and passed another dog in the kennel paddock without reacting.
Denzel has been walked by our volunteer Dave and his dog Kelly, there was no reactive behaviour so he can live with another dog. He loves lots of cuddles on his walk and loves the kennel staff. He is a lovely soul and with the right training will make a loyal companion, especially for a busy household.
