Update: July 2018 Dennis still waits patiently for his forever home, he was in foster although had to come back into kennels as he did get bolshy with the fosters elderly father.
Whilst in kennels we have only seen a very friendly dog, he needs structure and strong boundaries so he understands what’s expected of him. He does not suffer fools, or anyone who wants a cuddly dog. He needs an experienced owner, he loves nothing more than going out for a walk, he walks out with a couple of other female Sheps from the kennels which he does not react to.
We think he would be able to live with another female, although careful introductions.
Dennis is a stress head and very vocal in kennels, so a foster/forever home is urgent.
UPDATE: FEB 2018 Due to Dennis swallowing a ball and needing an operation he has been in foster for the past week with a female GSD who he has been very good with. Her certainly is much calmer than in the kennel environment. We need an URGENT home/fosterer for Dennis otherwise he will have to return to the kennels this weekend which is not ideal for him as he gets upset. Dennis is on the left in the photo with his temporary foster sister :)
Dennis has travelled all the way from Greece his owner abandoned him and he was left on the streets to fend for himself, a lady rescued him and asked us if we could help. He flew over to the UK so also comes with his very own passport.
We are still getting to know Dennis, but at the moment he is a stress head, it doesn’t help with the noise in kennels and he will react to other dogs as he’s passing the kennels. With people he is a lovely friendly boy, always happy to see you and have a run about in the off lead.
