Coda is 3 years old, a cross GSD Malamute. He is very urgently looking to be re homed as his situation isnt the best. Coda was bought as a puppy and has lived all his life qutie isolated due to his owners running a local shop and he has spent most of his time in the yard and an outhouse for his home. Staff at the shop look after Coda and take him out when they can and just recently they thought they had found a new home for Coda but it didnt work out so now the rescue are looking for an experienced home who can give Coda a chance of happiness. Coda was met by our volunteer, just outside the shop, he barked but was so excited to be out just walked past and wanted to start his walk. Coda is as strong as an ox on the lead and this will need addressing. On his walk Coda walked past lots of people and didnt bat an eyelid, he wasnt phased by traffic, just wanted to sniff and get out and about. Sadly no dogs were met on the walk but the staff say he is okay around other dogs. Coda has recently been neutered (hence the cone on his head) and has since developed a hot spot on his rump which is being bathed daily by the staff. At the vets he was very good in their care and indeed prior to neutering Coda was also treated to a much needed visit to the groomers, where again he was a good lad. If anyone can give this boy a second chance please get in touch but be aware he is strong and hasnt really known the routine of home life and his current owners would like him gone asap as they are finding it harder to control him and he grumbles at some of the staff in the shop when they try to send him back outside (completely understandable as he doesnt want to go and be on his own).
