Coco has led quite a life for so young a dog. He was discovered as a pup in Spain, and was living a feral existence hunting for his own food. He was befriended eventually and rescued to the UK. Not surprisingly, he has adapted well to the luxury of a home and family. He gets along happily with his companion dog and is extremely fond and tolerant of the children. He has had his tail pulled with no response and is just happy to cuddle and play endlessly.
Coco is fairly well trained (apart from recall when distracted) and although he can pull on the lead is easily corrected. He is a big active boy and he can be a bit 'full on' when playing with other dogs however. He is very well socialised though and, apart from his boisterousness, does not have difficulty in relating to other dogs.
Cats are another matter and he could not live with them, nor any other small furry animals. Thanks to his past life he has a high prey drive and will hunt down and kill any wildlife to which he has access. We think that cats would come into this category.
Coco is simply being rehomed as his owner has a new baby and, with her other commitments, cannot give the time needed for constant supervision. He is sweet natured but he is too boisterous to be safe unsupervised. In view of his size and youthful ebullience, he would be better homed in an active household with older children.
