Young Cleo is sadly looking for a new home due to her owners deteriorating health and she feels that Cleo deserves a better life.
Where to start..... The volunteer was invited into the home and towards the back of the house, there was Cleo with her head sticking through the cat flap!!!! The owner unlocked the door and Cleo let herself in . A tornado entered the room jumping spinning running around in excitement, she is also still mouthing. She calmed down for a couple of minutes and was offered a treat but as soon as the treats were not on offer she got over ecited all over again.
Sadly due to health problems Cleo is not walked that often leading to an under stimulated young lady. Out on a walk she was lead reactive, she saw a person coming towards her and she went nutty, barking, lunging all the usual things, the lady didn't seem bothered at all. Apparently off lead she is as good as gold, not interested in people or dogs, with a great recall. This was not seen at the time of the assessment. Cleo is walked on a halti.
Cleo is said to be fine with children, we would advise older kids as she is VERY boistrous. She is fine with little dogs but we would say no to cats. Cleo loves water .
Cleo is a petite GSD but what she lacks in size she makes up for in character, whoever wishes to adopt Cleo will have some work to do at the start, but all her little quirks we are sure she can overcome, to be a wonderful companion. Perfection will not be at the start but with time patience and consistency coupled with mental and physical stimulation it is a certainty.
