This lovely lady is 6 year old Chloe who is semi coated and spayed.
Chloe is being rehomed because of her elderly owners increasingly restricted mobility which means she is not getting properly exercised.
Chloe lives with another dog but because they are not getting walked, Chloe is getting bored and taking advantage of the situation by being dominant over the other dog. The owners genuinely love her but cannot give her what she needs. They are deeply upset at having to rehome their beloved Chloe but know that it's in her best interests.
Chloe welcomed our volunteer, she was soon taking treats out of his hand and within 20 minutes she was out for a walk with him. She does pull on the lead which is because she is not being walked and she was so excited to get out. Whilst out walking she passed children and other dogs without a problem.
Our volunteer thinks she would be better in a home with older children as she is simply not use to having young children around her.
An experienced home would be preferable where they can give her some basic training and address the pulling on the lead.
Our volunteer thinks Chloe will make a wonderful family pet and will be a very rewarding companion.
Because of her situation, our volunteer has offered to walk Chloe until her new home is found.
