Chewy-Lee is looking for a new home as owner now in a flat and not able to keep him. Chewy is now temporarily living with a family member who also has a 2 year old GSD bitch. Our volunteer was greeted well and Chewy seemed very settled with him. We are told Chewy isnt walked very much at the moment as he is a strong lad and too much for the lady owner. With other dogs, he obviously lives well within the home, but can be vocal outside when on the lead but absolutely fine off lead. With a little more socialisation and training this should easily be overcome. The weather was very hot on the visit and Chewy was loving the sprinkler in the garden (although we are told he hates having a bath)! Chewy is a good traveller and loves the car. All in all a nice boy who just needs to find a new forever home asap and get himself out of kennels with a kind patient owner to socialise him and give him the care and attention he absolutely loves. Update July: Chewy Lee is in temporary foster care and they are working on his leash reaction to other dogs and he walks well on a headcollar. In the home he absoluely adores his foster dad and his family and they now having to work on his separation anxiety as he wants to be with them 24/7. Chewy-Lee has the sweetest nature around people and genuinely lacks confidence he is an absolute cracker of a dog and can only come on in leaps and bounds. Update: August - sadly Chewy is now back in kennels where he isnt fairing very well as he wants human company and cries like a baby - anyone who can help get him into a home please contact asap.
